How to Measure for Wood Blinds

How to measure for blinds

Inside Mount:
For inside (recessed) mounts, measure exact inside width (left to right) and length (top to bottom) of the window opening between the jambs.  As some windows may not be perfectly square, take a measurement in three locations for both length and width.   Record the shortest width dimension and the longest.  A recess of 2.1/8" is needed for mounting 2" blinds.  The factory will make the deductions to insure a proper fit.

Outside Mount:
For outside mounts measure width (left to right) and length (top to bottom) of the area to be covered.  It is recommended that blinds overlap the window by at least 1.1/2" on each side.  To clear obstructions (cranks, trim, etc.) specify projection brackets with your order.
